Sunbeam Tiger

This week, I thought, was a good week to start blogging again. After (almost) a full year of being in quarantine, things was just piling up on my desktop and phone gallery.

And I’ll start off with the blog name?? Maybe? Or why is this blog a reaction to the discontent we have towards the current state of everything?

Dr. No — The 1962 James Bond film

OK. Saw an Sunbeam probably from Dr. No first. It wasn’t a Tiger tho, it was an Alpine. Still, it introduced me to The Amazing World of Sunbeam.

Second sighting of an Alpine was much later on, OR SO I THOUGHT!

That crazy tree car smashing scene from The Chamber of Secret

Yup, that isn’t an Alpine, that’s a Ford — Ford something. But maybe it was only a joke as an English story to smash up an American car, hahahahaha.

Years after I got more into this and that, I found the beautiful Sunbeam Tiger.

1965 Sunbeam Tiger in Asphalt??

Look at that beaut…..another Shelby modified British car, the other being his Cobra. Mostly he replace the original Alpine engine with a Ford V8. I believe Ken Miles was also involved for the making of this, need to make sure on that later. Of course there’s the Mk II, but nothing really different about it.

Love and peace outta from 260 & 289.
