I was going through the WWW for Raf’s inagural Prada menswear collection: here. Accidentally click to the 2021 Fall menswear homepage and…..

KILL! KILL! KILL!

Demna turned his first look in some sort of Playboy-Mansion-visit Johannes Krauser II.

The Demon Emperor dressed head to toe to doll in Balensiaga 2021 F/W

Balenciaga did a video as part of the show / campaign / release / hypebeast post, that is really c00l. It has the vibe and cinematography that I haven’t seen many other brands do it — disclaimer, I don’t browse a lot of campaigns, unless for work.

Replicating the movements of a first person game, we follow the camera’s perspective to see the whole collection thru several zone, starting in a more brutalist-utopian world, and walking around a neighborhood that gradually looks more dystopian, a few minutes in the camera starts to move faster, like being chased by something, before going in the forest, where a rave is happening with strobe lights and everything. And before it all ends into the sunset, we get to see the character we were all along, a knight-dressed lady that is about to pull out an Excalibur-Balenciaga-branded-sword.

It all seems very Tron, butttttttttt it reminded me more of what a world inside Polybius would be like.

Not the real arcade machine.

The legendary game that has never been proven it really did exist. What? It’s there tho? What do you mean it never existed?

Well, the urban legend says it the 80’s these Men In Black figures went up to the arcades that had’em and erased all data and physical evidence of Polybius.

The formal request made for its history / record

The WWW isn’t here for nothing tho, there are lots of theories behind it, but our favorite gotta be that the CIA made the game with subliminal messages inside to conduct test on (well, mostly) kids during that era, even the company name put on the game’s starting screen reads Sinneslöschen, the word is described by writer Brian Dunning as “not-quite-idiomatic German” meaning “sense delete” or “sensory deprivation"…………..copied it from their Wiki page, don’t hate.

Some kid died playing this game for Fuck* sake. A “heart-attack” they say, but who know?????

BUT GOOD NEWS IS NOW THE EXISTANCE IS ALREADY PROVEN

READ THE WHOLE THING HERE.
